Daniel Sanz-Alonso Awarded Prestigious Jose Luis Rubio de Francia Prize!

Daniel Sanz-Alonso, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics (CAMI), has been selected to receive the "Premio Jose Luis Rubio de Francia," which is one of the most important awards in mathematics in Spain, and the highest distinction awarded by the Spanish Royal Society of Mathematics (RSME)! The Jose Luis Rubio de Francia prize is awarded by the Spanish Royal Society of Mathematics (RSME) to the best Spanish mathematician under 32, across all disciplines. In addition to a €3.000 award, the prize includes a €35.000 three-year start-up grant. The prize selection committee was formed by Francisco Santos (Universidad de Cantabria); José Bonet (Universitat Politècnica de Valencia); Iona Dumitriu (Universidad de California San Diego); Alicia Dickenstein (Universidad de Buenos Aires); Alessio Figalli (ETH Zürich); Nuno Freitas (Universitat de Barcelona); and Milagros Izquierdo (Linköping University).
